I had someone with a driver's licence drive me to Saskatchewan this past weekend. My court was on Monday. It was nerve-wracking to have to do that extra travelling and sleeping nights in rooms and beds that were not my own. I especially enjoy being at my own home.
I had two supporters in the courtroom with me. It was so nice to have them there! I don't think I'd ever had anyone at court supporting me before. Partly why I got taken advantage of so many times, I'm sure, is because it looks like I'm all alone.
It was nice visiting family out there in Saskatchewan. I like to get to know them better. Since I didn't take any formal holidays this year, I actually was able to mix this serious court business with some visiting pleasure. I was at the lake. On Aquadeo Beach. I was in North Battleford.
Now that I have grown from that bit of adversity, I am free to go on with my project, unhindered.
