Welcome! Thanks for coming to check out the blog. It's been 1,154 sober days for me now and counting, shall I say? Yes! I have been sober for more than three years.
Today is a good day for me. I have time to plan and work on various things I am interested in; Mostly taking care of myself and training to be the best version of myself.
My aspiration for you is that your day is going the way you want it to. Do you know, when I quit drinking, it took the better part of three years doing a bunch of tasks that I didn't particularly want to do. I had no choice because I was straightening out my life at the time. I still don't always make great decisions but many are 50% better than the ones I was making three years ago! What that equals out to, for me, is a comfortable lifestyle with little to no stress.
Some days pass when I feel like my life is becoming unmanageable and I stop and take some time out for myself to examine what it is that I think is causing the sense of manageability. See where I said "what I think is causing the sense of", because that's what it is. My life is not really unmanageable, it only feels that way. Once I am able to pinpoint the problem and why it bothers me, I can move forward with a solution. Sometimes, a solution to a difficult problem is to quit dealing with it.
Thank you again for taking the time out of your day to read the words of this one alcoholic.
